Hi all,
After the success of the previous club tournaments I'm looking to run the next Club X-Wing Tournament on Saturday 1st July. We have space for up to 16 players on a first come, first served basis. Club members will be given priority for tickets up until Saturday 17th June.
As always, the event is aimed at all levels from beginners right the way through to veterans. I'll be TO'ing and will only play if we have an odd number of players on the day (to avoid us having players sitting out rounds).
Please note that the most recent FAQ which was published on 20th March will be in use at this event unless a newer version is published before the tournament.
Event Structure
We'll be playing 3 or 4 rounds depending on the number of players which sign up.
As a twist (and to do something different from standard 100pt dogfight) we'll also be playing 50/50 mode. This works as follows: -
1) Players each bring two different 50pt lists, labelling them list 1 and list 2. The following list building restrictions take place:
a) Unique upgrades and pilots will only be allowed once in either list (e.g. a player is only allowed Vader Pilot or Vader crew in one list. The other would must be Vader free).
b) Both of a player's lists cannot contain any of the same ships (e.g. T-65 X-Wings can only be in one of a player's lists, not the other, regardless of which pilots are being used).
c) Each list must be a minimum 47 points.
2) When pairings are announced, both players share their 50pt lists with one another.
3) Players select which of their opponent's lists they want to use in secret. They do this by taking a manuveur dial and choose either a 1 speed manuveur if they choose list 1 or a 2 speed manuveur if they choose list 2 and place their dial facedown on the gaming mat.
4) Once both players have placed dials the dials are revealed similtaneously. Each player plays with the 50pt list they have chosen plus the 50pt list their opponent has chosen not to use to give a 100pt list.
5) The game then follows the same rules as standard 100pt dogfight with a 75 minute time limit
Timings
12:00 - 12:30 = Sign in and set up
12:30 - 1:50 = Round 1
2:05 - 3:25 = Round 2
3:40 - 5:00 = Round 3
5:15 - 6:35 = Round 4
6:35 - 7:00 = Prizes and Close
Entry Fees
Entry is £5 per player with £2 towards club funds and £3 towards prize support.
Prize Support

a) 1 x Alt Art Tactician Card for every participant
b) 2 x Packs of Acrylic Evade Tokens (5 tokens in each pack) and 2 x Alt Art Ello Atsy Cards (one pack of tokens or one Ello Atsy card per player making the top 4).
