We haven't done a Saturday session for some time and, with the world cup being over by the end of October this might be a good time. Whose interested?
For those who are interested in Kings of War it would be a chance for us to have a proper go and get a few games in whilst helping each other out. Of course there would be table spaceĀ for a warmachine smashathon or a big boardgame session as demand dictates.

I have received my Dungeon Saga box...happy to run a session? We could even be wildly optimistic and do a kings of war battle with narrative dungeon bits...!

Excellent, Quest Dungeon Saga is go!
The 'basic' quest has quite a few parts to it using a Barabarian, Dwarf, Mage and Elven Archer. Interestingly the first two missions are two player vs Overlord, as the 'fighters' learn their characters then the 'zappy/shooty' players learn theirs. The quest saga covers the adventurers searching for an ancient relic in a dungeon. I skim read it. It may have been sandwiches they were looking for.
In addition to the 4 'basic' named characters there are another 6 options (all major tropes covered) plus the options to make up brand new ones. Unless there are loads of people wanting to play, I reckon a 4 player vs Overlord game should be fun, we can play the first few missions through. Anyone want to call dibs on a genre staple?

I'm rather enjoying the blendy style of the Wardancer (I'm tempted to rename him Aroven of Ken wood) - which seems like a good old barbarian smush in Saga. Open to anything though, if anyone else particularly wants him or something else would better fit the group.

I'd definitely like a Kings of War game, I was hoping the Dungeon Saga might be a taster rather than a full on session, but it might be amazingly fun and maybe we'll get carried away?
For any of you umming and aahing about KoW - some bullet points
1. Takes half the time of a Warhammer game. 2. really easy to learn and because there's less 'Listhammer', there's less chance of being tabled on your first go and having a rotten time. 3. It really is a game of massed fantasy battles, and now pretty much the only one on the market. And wasn't that what we all started in this hobby for?

Not massively feeling KoW at the mo but only because I'm learning warmachine and so have little grey matter spare...
Anyone fancying wmh after Saga? Bit of a trek if I'll only be playing for an hour!

If Saga doesn't prove addictive enough for more than an hour I'll take a wmh match afterwards, sure!

Excellent. Seems we're one adventurer shy of a party so Mrs Tom will join us for Saga, then watch Dr who while me and Gary run toys at each other and Mike plays KoW with Dan, sorted.
Gary, 35pts or more? I will be running a colossal...
