Hey all
I just noticed this is being released soon by Battlefront. I'm really keen to get this as I'm a bit of a Treadhead, so just seeing if anyone else would be keen to give it a go. No purchase necessary as I have quite a few WW2 15mm tank models already. Its very similar to X-Wing mechanic wise so you could get through a game in about 30 mins to an hour.
Check it out tanks.gf9games.com/

Always up for some tank battles, I think Pete has also expressed an interest in WW2 miniature games (FoW etc)
Though I won't be buying in, FFG has too strong a hold on my gaming budget.

No need for you guys to buy in. I have quite a few 15mm tanks that can be used.

The only thing is it's a slippery slope, first you start playing with 15mm tanks in an Xwing style game...next you're recreating Operation Barbarossa in Flames of War.

I've always wanted a tank skirmish game and even bought some various rulesets (turned out to be very complicated)
This is pick up and play which is what I was after. So I'm looking forward to it.
Also the price is decent enough not to put me off getting a few tanks from them. Also have quite a few 15mm already from Plastic Soldier Company which should slot straight in.
I'll get a starter set and get some games running in May

Good shout with the plastic soldier company - the flames of war guys make nice toys but they are expensive.

To be fair though these ones from Flames Of War aren't that bad £6.30 per tank from Darksphere
Plastic Soldier Company is around £18-£20 for a box of 4-5 (depending on tank) so around £4 each but you will have to buy 5 In singles they are about £5 each
Plastic Soldier Company tanks are super detailed though and you have all the options for different types....but are more difficult to build due to all the small pieces. The Flames Of War ones for this game are a bit easier to build (less pieces to put together)

They aren't very clear on how these will be available unfortunately. I think they are only supplied to stores at the moment. I would love to give this a go but I don't know if there is enough interest at the club to even try and get one. Currently only Chris and myself play (you would make 3 Tom)
I think DarkSphere will be running one of these kits though. I emailed them and they said they would look into it if there was enough interest. They put it up on their TANKS facebook group and it seems that there is a few guys keen on this. Hopefully it will happen.
