They aren't very clear on how these will be available unfortunately. I think they are only supplied to stores at the moment. I would love to give this a go but I don't know if there is enough interest at the club to even try and get one. Currently only Chris and myself play (you would make 3 Tom) I think DarkSphere will be running one of these kits though. I emailed them and they said they would look into it if there was enough interest. They put it up on their TANKS facebook group and it seems that there is a few guys keen on this. Hopefully it will happen. I'm quietly luring Sam (Eryst) over to the dark side as well - so that would be four. We can always advertise on the various Tanks forums & sell tickets (£1-2) if need be. I've tracked down a copy (Asgard games) & will speak to them later about the cost. Tom

Good news. I've managed to get hold of a copy of the OPS kit (£7) & have also ordered the beach mat (£27) from Darksphere. While I'm more than happy to cover the cost myself if the club were to reimburse me for some or all of the cost of both items that would be great.
So, what do we want to do? We could either run it ourselves among those who are interested (four people?). I've probably got enough British & German tanks for two concurrent games. So there's the opportunity for other club members to try out TANKS. Alternatively we could advertise online and get in some external players, charging them a nominal fee (I'd suggest £1-2 max). This would obviously take a bit more effort and organisation but if we kept numbers low (six external slots & four for the club) then it should work. Personally - because I'm lazy - I'd probably go with the first option as it's much simpler and won't require anything beyond turning up on a Monday or Thursday.

No need to apologise. I've got the OPS 2 kit as well. This week I quite fancy Wings of Glory but the next Thursday I'm free we'll have to organise a Tanks evening - would be good to make sure we have some decent scenery etc. The Achilles looks good (although the 17pdr gun gets six shots rather than the five of the Firefly's 17pdr for pretty spurious reasons) but it's strange that they're not releasing a standard British M10 as well (an interchangeable turret for example in the kit). Unfortunately next Thursday I cant make it down mate....but will defo be up for an Ops kit.....we need to get Chris involved too for this and maybe someone else if we can.
I think the difference is more for gameplay issues that historical accuracy mate.....its usually the case. Also the same for the Brit M10.....they seem to like to have only certain tanks for certain factions to make them a bit more autonomous. So I think you will only see the Achilles for the Brits.
