Hi all
I know many people are keen on running events across several different systems. Its great that people are willing to do this and we are displaying a diversifying interest in the available games. But some concerns have been raised.
The concerns relate to who has access to the room, the state its bee left in (with non-entrants catching the flak) and how the admission fees are being used. I'm happy for us to discuss any further concerns as a group but we need to be a bit more structured in our approach to events.
1) Keys - whoever organises an event should arrange to have a key (not from behind the bar) or a keyholder should be competing.
2) Tiding - The TO should ensure the room is clear of rubbish and empty glasses at the end of the event.
3) The cash - If money is asked for to support the event the TO needs to account for the cash that's collected. Ideally, the club should get at least subs (£2) from each person who plays and its fine for the rest to go on prize support. BUT nobody should be seen to profit from the club's activities.
Thanks guys

All perfectly reasonable things for a T.O to do... Thanks for posting Mike.

Absolutely fine - I'll take this into account when I'm running the X-Wing event in a week or two's time

Sounds very reasonable and I'm sure the long standing members will help out ensuring the space is left in good shape
