As there are very few team tournaments around especially for those who struggle to do two day events Eagle Gaming has decided to run a four-man, four team round robin one day event.
This will be at our usual venue of the Spread Eagle Pub, 71 Wandsworth High Street.
I am conscious of timings and as such I would like to keep the schedule as we do for singles. As doing the pairings (see below) is sometimes a lengthy process and as this will be a round robin, so no need for a draw, I will coordinate with the captains and we will sort the pairings out before the day.
At this stage if you think you will be able to get a team together from your own group of gaming mates I am happy to give you the slot but as interest starts to increases I will need full rosters. If you don't think you can get a whole team together please do show your interest below and maybe we can have a merc team or you could fill up another team that can't quite make up the numbers.
1. Team Eagle
2. Team Thundercocks
3.
4.
Registration
10:30 -1:00 - Round 1
1:00 - 1:30 - Lunch
1:30 - 4:00 - Round 2
4:00 - 6:30 - Round 3
6:30 - 7:00 - Prizes/Trophies/Shots
Captains please send me their teams 2500 point lists to tomuden4@gmail.com no later than Wednesday 5th of October. All lists written in the body of one email. No attachments or multiple emails will be accepted! This is to allow time for me to mark and format the lists and release them in good time for the teams to work out ideal pairings.
The event will cost £40 per team please send it either as a gift via paypal to the above email address.
Pairings method
Both teams select one of their armies to put forward. These are revealed at the same time. Both teams then select two armies to fight the first choice. The army put forward first then selects which of the two options they want to play. The army not selected then plays the remaining army.
Team Numbers are playing Team Letters. Numbers put forward #1 and Letters put forward A. Numbers put forward #2 and #3 while letters put B and C. #1 decides to play B while A decides to play #2. This means that #3 will play D while C will play #4.
So:
Lead armies: A and #1
Response armies: B&C and #2
Remaining armies: D and #4
Final pairings: A-#2, #1-B, C-#4, #3-D
As this is a round robin each team will play each other team. I will collect capped scores as per the ETC but this event, as all of our events, is more about having a blast and playing a great game than determining the outright winner.
