So in a move that might surprise nobody I've gone with the Catholic Jihadi faction.
I felt that the a Circle weren't for me. After painting Beastmen and my elves I really didn't fancy the colours of another woodland themed army (also after a few games the style didn't really appeal to me).
However with Gary keen to start his foray into miniatures and wanting to start circle I swapped (via Dark Sphere) for the Protectorate of Menoth.
I've had a quick look through the casters and there's loads of really good looking options, but I'm going to focus on the epic Feora at first. Just until I have her down pat.
No idea what I'm going to do paint scheme wise but I have figured out a few combos that do NOT work so that's something...

My pledge for 24/8 is to decide on a colour scheme for my army.

I wanted to lead the way with a low ball pledge. It's not about pushing limits, it's about setting achievable goals! (I'll probably end up doing plenty more)

I've played a few 35 point games now, all with Feora2, and I thought I'd share some bullet points
1) Fire is fun. All the games I've won have been down to how awesome continuous fire effect is with feora 2) Choir is bent. I was actually playing it wrong in the first few games to my detriment and I still though they were great. Kill these dudes first 3) Unit formations are a thing. Even though it's a skirmish game it's very important to keep a formation with your infantry, got my UA killed against Jack and it was sad 4) Games don't last that long. With the way scenario points can quickly ratchet up and how glass cannony most things are I don't think I've gotten past turn 5 in any games 5) Must get better at guessing ranges. No pre measuring is a pain in the ass

Very bright Menoth! I REALLY hate that unit on the table too so you have a gem of a unit to be working on just now Tom. How have you found them on the table?

Decently. I've mostly played small games and with only a small unit so its pretty hard to tell what the best use of them is

I could tell you, but that'd give you an unfair advantage and Menoth are broken enough v Circle already.

Tiny bit primary colour for me... I think it's the red trim, could perhaps do with being a bit darker?

The more I look at the red the more I think 'that could do with a brown wash' so I think you're right mate.

I got a game in with Kreos1 affectionly named 'pop and drop' did to his feat knocking everything down in his control range. It was only a small game so I didn't get a full view of his effectiveness. Having spell removal type spells was incredibly useful though. I did fest a turn too early so I didn't get to see the full majesty of him. It seems very gimmicky though My painting pledge for next time will be to get a min unit of zealots painted. This is a little bit ambitious but I kinda want to push myself a bit

Done! Awful pic thanks to no light but they're tabletop standard (skin not done as I don't know what I want to do with the skin yet and caps not done so I can get in and paint the skin)

Go with a darker shade of skin as if they've been wandering the deserts a lot maybe? Would probably pull it off with a decent wash so fast and simple
