At the recent Team Championships Matt and I played a team that used the following storage solution for their ships. They seemed pretty cool so I figured I'd let everyone else know as well. Essentially they're just little print outs for boxes you can make at home, you just need to download the pdfs and print them out onto cardboard (make sure to print actual size otherwise they'll be a bit small). On the downside there's self assembly to be done, but I guess that's the price for getting them as freebies. sirwillibald.piratesoftatooine.de/?page_id=1923&lang=en

I like the idea of this a lot, may solve the whole token/stand/insert problem, though you can't keep every pilot base insert in a box so may need a way of identifying which one has Howlrunner in etc.
Also haven't figured out how to transport them in a KR multicase backpack

It does end up being a lot of boxes to deal with, mind... but I'm getting to the point where I need to consider the next stage of storage, so I may have to give it a shot before throwing yet more money at KR.

I'm loving the KR cases for ship storage but in terms of movement dials, tokens, ship inserts etc. they're not brilliant. I've got so many ships now I need a better organised way of storing them. The boxes do come in different sizes as well I noticed.
I'm liking the idea a lot and just need to find some time and some card to start making some.
