Procrastination by Numbers: Update 147 - A New Chapter – Monday 3rd August 2015
Yes for reasons of madness I've decided to return with my semi-regular, if unread, blog. Yes Procrastination by Numbers is reborn in a format that isn't as good as everyone remembers.
I've painted up loads of bits since we last spoke, so I will try and show them off as we go. First up here's some additions to my Ultramarines army. Firstly I've painted up these Space Marine Scouts with Sniper Rifles and Camo Cloaks - not sure if they're any good (I still don't know how to play Warhammer 40,000 - and thanks to Age of Sigmar, don't know how to play Warhammer any more!!), but I quite like painting them as something a little bit different to the normal power armour clad Space Marines:
And to go with them a Centurion Devastator Squad. I really like these models, all the more when you are aware of their scale compared to the normal marines. These have been on my painting table for an eternity as I was too scared to magnetise them. But despite that I have finally finished them, and they can take all of their weapon options!
So what has happened since we last spoke? Well I have moved away from London, technically it's the home counties but as it's outside the M25 it might as well be abroad! You'd think this would mean I'd be down to the club less than I have previously, but I'd set such a low bar recently that it is entirely possible I will be down more often than before!! An upshot of the move has meant that my armies have temporarily had to march off to that great battlefield in storage, for time periods currently unknown. So before I left I thought why not take some nice army shots of my ridiculous number of models. So to start off I’ve taken some shots of my Ultramarines army (my newest and smallest army). I don’t really have any suitable spacey terrain, so you’ll have to imagine they’ve landed upon a grassy world full off hills and trees.
Here’s the full army, arrayed in front of packing boxes – sorry am not good at full army shots!
Space Marines advance through a suspiciously Warhammer looking forest!
The Assault on Black Reach Tactical Squad – taking the honour of my first Ultramarines.
The mighty Vindicator – even in my limited Warhammer 40,000 knowledge I know I like blowing things up with this!
The Devastator Squad takes up prime firing position on a hill.
My favourite tank (model-wise) the exciting Predator rumbles forward.
The Centurions defend the packing boxes.
The new Space Marine Scouts emerge from the forest.
A dreadnought emerges from the Drop Pod.
Tanks!!
A Space Marine Captain leads the way with a Plasma Pistol – which even I know is rubbish!

Do let me know your thoughts and comments, and if you haven’t noticed myself and Tom have started a blog painting the contents of the old Stormclaw box set. I am on the greenskins and he is working his way through the Space Wolves: eaglegamingclub.freeforums.net/thread/34/great-british-paint-off
